Archtop guitar produced in Schönbach for the British company J. E. Dallas and Sons and sold under their own Avalon brand (one of many which were utilized for sale of various alternatives to the contemporary American made instruments).
It is an example of a mid-tier archtop guitar, being a very well-made all solid-wood instrument following the American aesthetic and lacking the glitz of more expensive models. The build is fairly light, which also transpires into the sound, with a fairly thick (yet not unpleasant) D-profiled beechwood neck and a flat rosewood fretboard. All of the hardware is original, perhaps except the non-adjustable bridge (although it does seem to be original enough and would fit the overall style of the guitar).
