Description
The bridge on this guitar was originally installed on a Primus classical guitar of the same general proportions and concept (same exact base dimensions). Older photos show that the guitar was used with steel strings, the bridge was partly shaved down and a tailpiece was installed (probably in an attempt to alleaviate the pressure exerted on the bridge).
The "flower" classical guitars of this type were most likely made by the end of 1940s in Schonbach in the workshops soon-to-be included in the Cremona cooperative. The construction is very light and not reinforced around the rosette and this often resulted in the area around it being warped.
